Man suffers burns while lighting furnace pilot light

OTTAWA — A 52-year-old man was taken to hospital Tuesday afternoon, after suffering burns to his face and arms while igniting the pilot light on his furnace.
It happened around 12:30 p.m. on Dickenson Avenue.
JP Trottier with Ottawa Paramedic Service tells 1310 NEWS the man was treated for first and second degree burns, and was taken to hospital in stable condition.
