Labour Day long weekend open and closed

OTTAWA – The last long weekend of the summer means there are a number of closures around the city on Monday.
Here’s your Labour Day long weekend rundown:
Shopping and attractions:
Most stores, malls and grocery stores are closed Monday, with the exception of the Metro and Loblaws on Rideau Street. The Metro is open 24 hours, while the Loblaws is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Stores in the ByWard Market are open, including the Rideau Centre, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
LCBO and The Beer Store locations are closed Monday, while most SAQ’s are open in Quebec.
Banks are closed on Monday.
Client services:
Ottawa City Hall and client service centres are closed Monday.
The City’s Provincial Offences Court will also be closed.
The City’s 311 Contact Centre will be open for urgent matters. Call 311 or 613-580-2400 to speak to a customer service representative. For persons with a hearing-related disability, call TTY: 613-580-2401.
Garbage, green bin and recycling collection:
There will be no curbside green bin, recycling, or garbage collection on Labour Day, with pickup delayed by one day for the week.
Also, there will be no multi-residential bulky items, green bin and recycling container collection on Labour Day, with pickup taking place on Tuesday.
The Trail Waste Facility is closed Monday.
Parking:
All City of Ottawa parking regulations apply.
Transit:
OC Transpo is operating a Sunday schedule on Labour Day, as well, the new fall schedule goes into effect on Sunday.

OC Transpo sales and information centres is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Lincoln Fields, Place d’Orléans and St. Laurent, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Rideau Centre.
The OC Transpo Information Centre is open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday.
The OC Transpo Customer Relations Department is closed Monday.
Para Transpo is operating a holiday service on Labour Day.
Recreation services:
Some outdoor pools, indoor pools and fitness centres are open for public swimming and fitness classes, with modified schedules.
Beaches and splash pads are open but unsupervised.
Most registered programs at swimming pools, community centres and arenas are cancelled; however, clients should check with their facility to confirm, as some exceptions apply.
Ottawa Public Health:
The SITE Mobile Van is operating from 5 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
The Sexual Health Centre and Satellite Clinics, SITE office, Dental Clinics and Well Baby Drop-In are closed.
The Ottawa Public Health Information Line (OPHIL) and the Aids-Sexual Health Info Line are closed; however, you can call and leave a message and enquiries will be responded to within one business day.
Cultural Services:
The City Hall Art Gallery and Ottawa Art Gallery Annex are open Monday.
City of Ottawa Archives, arts centres, galleries, theatres and museums are closed; however, clients can check ottawa.ca or their facility to confirm, as some exceptions apply.
Archives Services:
The City of Ottawa Archives Reference Services and Gallery 112 is closed.
Municipal child care services:
City-operated Child Care Centres are closed.
Ottawa Public Library:
All branches, departments and services of the Ottawa Public Library are closed. Business will resume as usual on Tuesday.
