Provincial police say they’ll be out on the roads during the long weekend watching for distracted drivers.

OPP say inattention-related road deaths are poised to double the number of impaired-related deaths this year.

And they say driver inattention is often related to distraction from mobile devices while driving.

Police say officers are constantly seeing drivers operating handheld devices making it apparent that many motorists are not getting the message.
