Man charged after cyclist assaulted downtown

OTTAWA — A Gatineau man is facing a sexual assault charge, in connection with an incident involving a fellow cyclist in downtown Ottawa.

Police released photos September 9th of a suspect in the assault, which happened on August 4th in the area of Lyon and Wellington.

A female cyclist said a man, also on a bike, slapped her behind and told her she was cycling too slowly.

Romain Hubner, 37, turned himself in to police on September 13th, and is now facing one count of sexual assault.

He was released on a promise to appear, and will be back in court September 20th.
