Student in custody after weapon scare at Arnprior District High School

ARNPRIOR — A student carrying an edged weapon has been taken into custody under the Mental Health Act, following an incident at Arnprior District High School.
The OPP tell 1310 NEWS no one was injured during the Wednesday afternoon incident.
Constable Janice Sawbridge says the boy didn’t threaten anyone, and he was safely apprehended.
The school was placed under a ‘Hold and Secure,’ which was lifted after the student was taken into custody.
