Police probe Ottawa’s 50th shooting of 2016

OTTAWA–A 27-year old man is in critical condition in hospital, as Ottawa Police investigate the city’s 50th shooting of 2016.
It happened around 3 o’clock Sunday morning in the Byward and George Streets area of the downtown.
The Guns and Gangs Unit has taken over the investigation.
No arrests have been made, and police have no one in custody.
The shooting marks a new high water mark in the capital for gun violence surpassing the previous record of 49 set in 2014.
