Man charged in Byward Market robbery

OTTAWA – Police have charged a man in connection to a robbery at a financial services location in the ByWard Market.
Around 8 p.m. on Monday, a man entered the business in the 300 block of Dalhousie Street, brandished a knife and made a demand for money.
Police were notified and the suspect was arrested at the scene.
Meladul Ahmadzai, 24 of Ottawa, has been charged with assault with a weapon, robbery and possession of a weapon.
He is due in court Tuesday.
