Woman charged in George Street shooting

OTTAWA – Police have charged a woman in connection to a shooting in the ByWard Market earlier this month.
In early-morning hours of October 2, police were called to George Street for a shooting that sent a 27-year-old man to hospital in critical condition with gunshot wounds.

Kendra Michaelis, 25 of Ottawa, faces possession charges, as well as obstructing police in the attempted murder investigation into the shooting.
Ayanle Siad, 28, and Edgar Casseus, 31, both of Ottawa, were previously charged with attempted murder, as well as weapon and drug charges in the case.
Michaelis has been released with a court date.
