Retired teacher accused of molesting students due in court

OTTAWA – A former coach and guidance councillor facing a slew of historic sex assault charges is due in court Tuesday.

Police began an investigation into Donald Greenham in June when one victim came forward, and in August, 14 charges were laid.

In October, more than 30 additional charges were laid when seven more people came forward.

Then on November 17, police added six more charges, including gross indecency, and indecent assault on a male.

The alleged incidents date back to the 1970’s and early 1980’s, when Greenham worked as a teacher, guidance counsellor and coach at Ottawa-Carleton District School Board schools in the west end.

This is an updated story. An earlier version indicated Greenham retired in the 1980’s.
