Ottawa man charged with child porn offences

OTTAWA – Child pornography charges have been laid against an Ottawa man after an online tip led to the search of a home in Vanier.

Police were tipped off by the National Child Exploitation Coordination Centre about images of sexual assault coming from an IP address on Montreal Road.

When police raided the home, they found child porn on a computer.

Michael Lalonde, 28 of Ottawa, faces three counts of possession of child pornography and two counts of making it available.

He has a bail hearing scheduled for Friday morning.
