Ottawa man faces slew of child porn, sexual assault charges

OTTAWA – Police have charged an Ottawa man with several child pornography and sexual assault offences.

After an international investigation into a photo sharing website, Ottawa Police, together with Sûreté du Québec, executed a search warrant in the 1400 block of Prince of Wales Drive.

David Sharpe, 36, is charged with distribution of child porn, possession of child porn, making child porn, sexual assault, sexual interference and voyeurism.

Additional charges are pending awaiting the results of a forensic examination and victim identification.

Sharpe is set to appear in court Wednesday.
