OTTAWA — More legal trouble for a priest who is about to be sentenced for historic sex crimes.
Jacques Faucher, 80, was arrested this week after police allege he visited the kids section of the Lowertown Community Centre pool nearly 100 times in a one-year period.
The visits ended on December 22, according to court documents uncovered by Postmedia.
Faucher is due in court next Wednesday to be sentenced for the sex crimes he was already convicted of in 2016.
In 2013, five men came forward to complain to police about being molested as alter boys in the 1960’s and 1970’s.
He was found guilty of six counts of indecent assault and gross indecency last March but was out on conditions until his sentencing.
Among the conditions for his release, he was not allowed to attend parks or pools where children may be present.
