‘Significant snowfall’ forecast to last into the evening

OTTAWA – The nation’s capital is under two weather alerts — a freezing rain warning and a special weather statement.
Any freezing rain in the Ottawa area is expected to change to snow through the day.
We are also under a special weather statement calling for snow to continue into the evening, possibly mixed with ice pellets at times.
