Police seek to ID assault suspect

OTTAWA – Police are looking for the public’s help to identify a suspect in a January assault on Rideau Street involving a man armed with a handgun.
On January 26, 2017 around 9:30 p.m., investigators report two men were involved in a scuffle in the ByWard Market.
One of the men was armed with a black handgun, which was used in the assault of the other man, but it was not fired.
The suspect is described as:
-5′ 5″ tall
-light brown skin
-wearing a puffy winter coat and white sweat pants
