Chimney fire displaces two people

OTTAWA – Two people have been left homeless by a chimney fire.
Crews responded to 10 Borden St. around 9:15 p.m. Sunday after a 911 call from the residents.
The owner called 911 back a few minutes later to report visible smoke and flames in the home.
A working fire was declared at 9:24 p.m. and the flames reached the roof and eaves before being brought under control.
The Salvation Army and Red Cross were called in to assist the man and woman who have been displaced.
There is no word on a cause or the damage estimate.
