OTTAWA – A worker suffered a minor head injury while working in Ottawa’s downtown LRT tunnel over the weekend.
Emergency crews were called to the scene, near the intersection of Queen Street and Kent Street, around 4:42 p.m. Saturday.
The Rideau Transit Group says the man was struck by a hose supplying concrete to the tunnel.
The 40-year-old man was taken to hospital after walking out of the tunnel under his own power, according to a RTG statement.
He was in stable condition upon arrival at hospital.
The Ministry of Labour is investigating.
