OTTAWA – It was a busy night for crews with two separate fires.
Just after 10 p.m., crews responded to a 911 call from a neighbour reporting smoke coming from 19 Crystal Beach Dr.
A working fire was declared at 10.12 p.m.
The occupants were evacuated and taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The cause is under investigation
Then, just before 4 a.m., crews responded to 2520 Leitrim Rd. after a passerby noticed smoke coming from a detached garage.
The passerby alerted the occupants, who had been asleep, and everyone got out of the home, including pets.
A working fire was declared when crews arrived at 4:04 a.m., but crews contained the fire to the garage.
