Intense autumn heat wave continues for Ottawa

OTTAWA – It’s another day of extreme heat in the nation’s capital.

Ottawa remains under a heat warning from Environment Canada, with hot, sticky weather forecast to hang around until Thursday.

After smashing records Saturday and Sunday, we broke another hot weather record Monday. The temperature got up to 33 C, beating the record 29.6 C set in 2007.

It looks like we could smash two more records — Tuesday and Wednesday.

The forecast high for Tuesday is 32 C, which would beat the record 26.7 C set back in 2007. The forecast high for Wednesday is 30 C, which would beat the record 28.1 C set in 1998.
