Special extrication needed near Bayshore Mall

OTTAWA — Ottawa Fire Services and Ottawa Paramedics may have saved a 31-year-old woman’s leg.

Officials say it got caught in an open door of her car, as she rolled it forward on Woodbridge Cr. near Bayshore Dr., and pinned it against a cement wall around 6:30 p.m., Saturday.

Firefighters were able to winch the car away from the wall, so that paramedics could access the woman.

She ended up with just minor injuries.
