October STEP focusing on distracted driving, speeding

OTTAWA – Police on both sides of the river are putting a focus on catching distracted drivers and speeders.
Both Ottawa and Gatineau police are targetting distracted driving and speeding in this month’s traffic enforcement program.
They’re joined by RCMP, O-P-P and the Surete du Quebec.
Distracted driving has killed 18 people between 2011 and 2015.
Speeding has killed 54 people during the same period.
