Thanksgiving dinners around the city

OTTAWA – Thanksgiving dinners with all the fixings are being prepped across the city, to provide a hot, nutritious meal to thousands.

On Sunday, Sir Guy Carleton Secondary School is hosting a Thanksgiving meal between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. for those in need. The school first held a dinner in 1991. Buses will be picking people up at 11 a.m. from a number of locations and dropping them off at 1 p.m.

Also on Sunday, the Salvation Army Ottawa Booth Centre is holding its annual Thanksgiving turkey dinner from 3 to 5 p.m.

On Monday, the Ottawa Mission holds its annual dinner —- taking place at 35 Waller St. from 11:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.
