OTTAWA – A lending program for musical instruments is being launched in the city.
Juno Award-winning singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan will be on hand as the Ottawa Public Library and Sun Life Financial launch the program at Ottawa’s main library branch on Metcalfe Street at 1 p.m. on Tuesday.
The program is the first of its kind in Ottawa and the sixth such program launched in a Canadian public library.
According to a release from the library, the idea is simple — put more musical instruments into people’s hands.
Mayor Jim Watson will also be on hand for the announcement.
