Grease fire sends one person to hospital

OTTAWA – A fire near Rideauview Park has sent one person to hospital.

Just before 9 a.m., crews responded to a 911 call reporting a kitchen fire at 939 Eiffel Ave.

Firefighters found a pot of grease on the stove that had ignited and quickly put the fire out.

One person suffered burns and was treated by paramedics on scene before being taken to hospital.
