Plane makes emergency landing near Shirley’s Bay

A small plane was forced to make an emergency landing on Rifle Road near Shirley’s Bay.
The landing happened just after 2 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon.
Ottawa Police Constable Marc Soucy tells 1310 NEWS that the results of the crash were miraculous. “It did land safely and the plane did suffer significant damage but no one was injured.”
The pilot of the small plane was the only person on board and walked away.
The Ministry of Transportation has been called in to investigate the emergency landing.
