PEMBROKE- Triple murderer Basil Borutski’s sentencing is set for Wednesday morning.
His sentencing hearing began Tuesday morning in Pembroke Court, after he was found guilty late last month of killing Anastasia Kuzyk, Nathalie Warmerdam and Carol Culleton in their Upper Ottawa Valley homes in September of 2015.
He was charged with 2 counts of first-degree murder and one count of second-degree murder.
First-degree murder carries an automatic sentence of life in prison with no chance of parole for 25 years, but the judge must decide if his sentences for all three convictions are to be concurrent or consecutive.
The judge said Tuesday that the ruling will take place at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday morning.
