Two charged in Orleans murder

OTTAWA — Two people face first degree murder charges in Ottawa’s sixth homicide of 2018.
The Ottawa Police Service says Maria Desousa, 81, was already dead when she was taken to hospital Saturday afternoon.
Officers deemed her death suspicious, and soon passed the case to Major Crime to investigate.
Paulo Desousa, 40, and Danielle Leblanc, 36, are expected to appear in court Tuesday afternoon.
Police say the incident happened at a home on Parkrose Private in Orleans.
