Lanark County apologizes following three day privacy breach

Lanark County officials are apologizing, following a privacy breach involving private emails of county residents that were made public on a county website for 72-hours.
In a release, County Chief Administrator Kurt Greaves acknowledges they became aware of the breach on Friday that 24 emails were on the county website through a link.
The link was deactivated.
County Warden and Mayor of Perth John Fenik has apologized for the “frustration and inconvenience.”
