Carleton University women’s basketball team wins national title

By OttawaMatters Staff

Carleton University's women's basketball team has won its first-ever national title.

The team capped off an undefeated season with a 69-48 win over the University of Saskatchewan Huskies, Sunday night.

The Ravens' national title comes after the women's team earned its first medal at the National Championships just last year, when the team finished in third place.

As the women celebrate their championship win, this is one of the few years where the men won't bring it home. The men's basketball team has won the National Championship in 13 of the last 15 years.

The Ravens' men's team beat McGill University 76-71 to finish third.
