Support staff and Carleton University reach tentative agreement

By OttawaMatters Staff

A tentative agreement has been reached between the two sides in the Carleton University strike.

As reported earlier by OttawaMatters, the main sticking point in the negotiations between CUPE 2424 and the school had been pension benefits.

More than 850 administrative, technical, and library workers had been on strike since March 5.

No details of the deal have been released at this point and a ratification vote is set for 8 p.m. Tuesday.

There will be no pickets up at the entrances of the school today.
