Three arrested after drugs and gun found in area near Hunt Club and Albion

The Ottawa Police Service has charged a trio of men, after turning up cocaine, cash and a weapon at a house on Carousel Crescent.

Two arrests and the home search happened on Friday, February 8. 

Officers seized the following:

  • Crack Cocaine
  • Powder Cocaine
  • Currency
  • Loaded Smith and Wesson 40 calibre handgun 

The third man was arrested on Sunday and faces related charges. 

Ahmed Ahmed, 27, of Ottawa, and Jonathin Scott, 41, of Ottawa, have been charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance for trafficking
  • Careless storage of a firearm
  • Possession of weapons dangerous
  • Possession of a firearm without a licence
  • Possession of a restricted weapon
  • Possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition
  • Possession of proceeds of crime exceeding $5,000

Scott was scheduled to appear in court Monday morning. 

Ahmed Ahmed has been charged with three additional charges:

  • Trafficking in a schedule I substance
  • Possession of a firearm while prohibited
  • Possession of proceeds of crime/ not exceeding $5,000 x2

Ahmed appeared in court on February 9. 

Zachary Fontaine, 27, of Ottawa, has been charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance for trafficking 

Fontaine is scheduled to appear in court on March 19.
