Local favourites like Zak’s Diner, Big Rig Brewery coming to the Ottawa Airport

YOW airport has announced a partnership with SSP Canada and Paradies Lagardère for ten new food, beverage, and retail stores. 

This means the airport will be getting a few of the capital's local favourites like Big Rig Brewery, Bridgehead Coffee, La Bottega, and a Zak’s Diner.

Passengers can also expect to see a new Tim Hortons, a Canal Market Hall, and an Urban Crave. 

“We are thrilled to announce an impressive new food and beverage and retail lineup at YOW, including beloved local brands such as Big Rig Brewery, Bridgehead Coffee, La Bottega and Zak’s Diner, and iconic brands such as Subway and Dylan’s Candy Bar,” said Mark Laroche, President and CEO of the Ottawa International Airport Authority. “We listened to our passengers and employees incorporating more modern options, diversity of product in new and beautiful spaces. We are confident that this new program will be a delight to all.”

Paradies Lagardère will be bringing their brands to YOW including Dylan’s Candy Bar, Maison de la Presse, and a TripAdvisor store.

Paradies Lagardère is confident that the retail program we’ve put together, including an outstanding selection of authentic merchandise from local vendors, will offer travellers an enhanced customer experience unlike any other.”

The $27 million concession construction program will be phased in over two years.

YOW will be contributing $12 million, and the new master concessionaires will be contributing $15 million to the project. 

The concession program all a part of the airport enhancement program, which will see a new hotel from Group Germain Hotels and a light rail transit station.
