Mississippi Mills man charged after U-Haul crashes into Cochrane OPP detachment

A Mississippi Mills man has been charged by OPP after the U-haul vehicle he was driving crashed into an Ontario Provincial Police detachment in Cochrane.
One person who was in the front lobby of the building at the timeof the incident suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital.
Police immediately arrested the driver of the transport vehicle and also took him to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Trevor Robertson, 45-years-old, of Mississippi Mills, has been charged with the following offences:
- Operation while prohibited contrary to section 320.18 of the Criminal Code (CC),
- Dangerous operation causing bodily harm contrary to section 320.13(2) CC, and
- Operation causing bodily harm contrary to section 320.14(2) CC.
He is scheduled to appear in court on July 24.
This investigation is ongoing.
