Mark Sutcliffe adjusting his schedule while Rob Snow joins 1310 NEWS team

Morning talk radio on 1310 NEWS will soon sound a little bit different, but all parties involved are excited about what's to come.
After 35 years in broadcasting, Ottawa Today Host Mark Sutcliffe has decided to reduce his daily radio schedule. Starting in January, Ottawa Today will broadcast for just one hour each day, down from four.
“I'm looking forward to having more time with my family and doing a little more in areas like writing, volunteering and entrepreneurship,” said Sutcliffe. “But I'm also very excited to continue to work with the amazing team at 1310 NEWS and Rogers. Hosting Ottawa Today has been a wonderful experience.”
Sutcliffe's last four-hour broadcast of Ottawa Today will be on Friday, December 20.
Taking over the 9 a.m. to noon time slot in the new year will be someone Ottawans are already very familiar with.
Rob Snow is a proud native of Cape Breton Island, who got his education at Carleton University and Algonquin College before launching his radio news career at 106.1 CHEZ in the late 90s. Over more than two decades, Snow has reported on virtually every major story in Ottawa, from the ice storm in '98 to the launch of light rail transit this past year.
The long-time broadcaster considers himself a voracious reader and political junkie who continues to be frustrated by golf and the Ottawa Senators. Listeners can find and interact with Snow on Twitter at @RobSnow15.

Snow's first show on 1310 NEWS is set for January 13.
