Four teenage girls charged after assault and robbery in Heron Gate

Four young women are facing charges after an assault and robbery on Baycrest Drive in Ottawa's Heron Gate neighbourhood.
Officers say one of the accused visited the victim's apartment on January 15, an arguement broke out and three other young women forced their way into the apartment, armed with knives.
Police say the four women assaulted and robbed the victim.
Amal Mahdi Nour, 18, and three 17-year-olds, all from Ottawa, were charged with the following:
- Robbery with an offensive weapon
- Conspiracy to commit an indictable offense
- Possession of a weapon for committing an offence
- Assault with a weapon
- Unlawfully in a dwelling-house
- Mischief to property not exceeding $5,000
All were released on promises to appear with court dates in January.
