Ottawa police seize gun and drugs in Overbrook home

Three people are drug and weapon-related charges after Ottawa police searched a home on Whitton Crescent in Overbrook.

Officers say they seized a firearm, drugs and some cash during the execution of a search warrant on Whitton Crescent, Thursday, around 8:44 p.m.

Michelle Mousseau, 27, Joshua Mousseau, 29, and Rooble Mohamed, 28, all of Ottawa, were charged with:

  • Possession of Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (two counts)
  • Possession of a loaded prohibited firearm
  • Careless storage of a firearm
  • Possession of a weapon
  • Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited firearm
  • Possession of property of property obtained by crime

They are scheduled to appear in court Friday.
