Ride For Dad announces ‘Ride Alone — Together’ campaign, starting Father’s Day

By Mike Vlasveld

An event that usually includes hundreds of motorcycles roaring around the capital in an effort to raise money and awareness for prostate cancer is still on for 2020, but in a different capacity.

The annual Ride For Dad is ready to launch its 'Ride Alone — Together' campaign, which will last throughout the summer, instead of being a single-day event.

Anyone looking to take part in this year's ride is asked to register online. Participants will be provided with a ride route, although they can also make their own route, and then head out on or after Father's Day, June 21, alone or with a few registered rider friends.

Riders are also invited to take a selfie at designated locations and share the photos on social media using hashtags #RideAloneTogether, #TELUSRideForDad, and #MY2020Ride.

Participants can ride the route as many times as they'd like and continue collecting pledges right through the summer and into the fall.
