NCC working to open more bistros following Remic Rapids

By Mike Vlasveld

The National Capital Commission (NCC) is looking to add its bistros to the growing list of restaurant patios reopening in the region, amid COVID-19.

The NCC Bistro at Remic Rapids Park opened on June 20, but the commission is still working to see when it might be able to reopen its Confederation Park location.

That particular bistro location is currently the site of an NCC construction project to rehabilitate the Colonel By Fountain, so it plans to provide an update on the bistro as soon as it can.

Unfortunately the bistro at Patterson Creek Park will remain closed for the 2020 season due to the circumstances surrounding the pandemic.

The NCC says it's extending the two-year pilot period at Patterson Creek into 2021.
