Woman facing multiple charges after crashing vehicle in South Dundas

A woman is facing multiple charges after OPP responded to a single motor vehicle collision over the weekend. 

According to OPP, the North Dundas Township women was driving on County Road 31 in South Dundas Township around 8:45 a.m. on June 20 when she crashed her vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle failed to remain with the vehicle but was located by officers a short distance away. 

OPP say the driver was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine and the vehicle had allegedly been stolen. 

Upon further investigation, the driver was also wanted for several other offences include another stolen vehicle incident from the previous weeks in North Dundas Township. 

The driver was also breaching previous conditions. 

OPP have charged 21-year-old Roxanne Hanson with the following:

  • Possession of a controlled substance
  • Theft over $5,000
  • Break and enter
  • Possession of property obtained by crime – under $5000
  • Take motor vehicle without consent
  • 20 counts of failing to comply with conditions of a probation order
  • Fail to remain 

Hanson was held in custody and scheduled to appear in Cornwall court.
