UPDATE: Arrest made in Carleton Place homicide

UPDATE, Wednesday, July 15, 2:21 p.m.: The Ontario Provincial Police says it has arrested Shane Sabourin in connection with a murder at a motel in Carleton Place.
Officers say the arrest happened at a home in the town, around 1 p.m., Wednesday.

The Ontario Provincial Police is investigating a homicide it says happened at a motel along Highway 7, in Carleton Place.
Officers were called to the scene around 4 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15, and found a man suffering from serious injuries.
The victim succumbed to his injuries later Wednesday morning, turning the incident from a serious assault to a homicide.
A search is on for Shane Sabourin, 30, of Carleton Place, in connection with this incident.
He is described as:
- White
- 175 cms (5' 7″)
- 90.5 kgs (199 lbs)
- Black hair
- Blue eyes
- Was last seen wearing a black, long sleeved shirt, pants and walking along Highway 7 near McNeely Avenue
Police say he may be armed with knife and are asking anyone who sees him not to approach — just call 9-1-1.
The OPP is also asking for any information regarding the whereabouts of Sabourin.
