Playgrounds reopen in Ottawa as city enters Stage 3 recovery plan

By Alex Goudge

After nearly three months, children in Ottawa will once again to enjoy play structures and other park amenities as the city enters Stage 3 of provincial reopening plan on Friday.

The City of Ottawa made several park amenities, including playgrounds, off-limits in late March as a means to help slow the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Many amenities and businesses in the province have started to slowly reopen as pandemic measures ease and the economy reopens.

Swings, slides and outdoor exercise equipment will no longer be off-limits and are available for use.

The City of Ottawa is reminding residents to continue to practice physical distancing and wash their hands before and after using the equipment.
