Suspect turns himself in after Baseline Road robbery in March

Ottawa police say a suspect has turned himself in and is facing charges after a robbery on Baseline near Merivale in March.

Police say three people attempted to steal items from a retail store on March 3, but were confronted by a security guard.

In response, it's alleged that the suspects threatened the guard with a mace can.

On Tuesday, July 28, a suspect turned himself in to police.

20-year-old Timothy Garcia is facing three charges, including possession of a weapon to commit an offence, possession of a prohibited weapon knowing no authority and armed robbery.

Police say they are no longer looking for any other suspects.
