OPP investigating workplace death at livestock exchange in Hawkesbury

OPP are investigating a workplace death at a livestock exchange in Hawkesbury.

Police were advised of the death Tuesday at about 4 p.m., which had actually happened in the Champlain Township Monday around 5:30 p.m.

An initial investigation found that a 55-year-old male from the Champlain Township had been involved in a workplace-related accident and had succumbed to his injuries.

The Regional Coroner’s Office and Ministry of Labour have taken over the investigation.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information that may assist investigators is asked to contact the Hawkesbury OPP at 613-632-2729.
