Working fire in Barrhaven has homeowner being treated for minor injuries

Firefighters are on scene of a working fire in the city’s west end.
According to Ottawa Fire Services, they were called to 199 Harthill Way, just off Strandherd Drive near Clark Fields Park in Barrhaven, Saturday.
OFS received multiple 911 calls reporting smoke and flames from the rear of the home and a working fire was declared while on route to the scene.
Firefighters say the scene started at the exterior of the home and was stopped before it progressed inside.
The homeowner is in the care of Ottawa Paramedics and is being treated for injuries.
An investigator is now on scene determining damages and the cause of the fire.
