Ottawa police officers foil Barrhaven car theft in progress

Three people, including a 15-year-old boy, are facing charges after police interrupted a car theft in progress on Rossburn Crescent in Barrhaven.
Officers say a witness noticed a person trying to break into their neighbour's car and a suspicious vehicle waiting nearby, around 2:50 a.m., Friday, October 23.
Officers were able to locate the suspicious vehicle and arrest three suspects.
Dimitri Fleurinord, 22, of Saint-Leonard; Willy-Alexandre Nkufulu, 25, of Repentigny; and a 15-year-old boy from Montreal, have been charged with:
- Attempt to Commit an Offence
- Possession of Break-in Instruments
- Trespassing at Night
- Mischief under $5,000
- Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence
Fleurinord was also charged with failure to comply with a release order.
The suspects were released with a condition to appear in court at a later date.
