Some Ottawa Public Library branches resuming in-person services

Some branches of the Ottawa Public Library (OPL) are again offering contactless returns and hold pickups. 

The OPL says the move is part of its phased approach to resuming physical services. 

On Monday, November 2, the Hunt Club Riverside Park Community Centre location resumed offering those services. 

The OPL says other libraries are now following suit:

  • Sunnyside branch – Monday, November 16
  • Hazeldean branch – Tuesday, December 1
  • Manotick branch – Tuesday, December 1 
  • Rosemount (revitalized branch) – Thursday, December 3 (first floor only) The Rosemount Temporary Location will close on November 21. 
  • Rideau branch – Monday, January11,  2021
  • Rockcliffe Park branch – Monday, January 18, 2021 
  • Orléans branch- January, 2021 (date TBA)

The OPL says is it exploring options to resume services for the remaining branches in Constance Bay, Fitzroy Harbour, Osgoode, Munster and Vernon.
