Almonte man accused of videotaping sexual encounters without consent, and publishing

A 37-year-old man from Almonte is facing voyeurism-related charges after police say he met a woman online and had consensual sexual encounters, but he filmed her without her consent.

Ottawa police say the incidents in this case date between 2017 and 2019 when the suspect was living in Carleton Place.

Jacob Rockburn was arrested on Tuesday, November 9, and is being charged with:

  • Secretly observe/record person expecting privacy
  • Print/publish, etc. voyeuristic recording
  • Publication of an intimate image without consent

He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.

Investigators are concerned there could be other victims in this case and are asking that they come forward.
