Ottawa Public Health (OPH) is seeing another big drop in local hospitalizations due to COVID-19, despite 77 new cases being reported across the city.

The number of people in hospital on Friday, November 20, due to the novel coronavirus is 31, with just two patients in intensive care. As of Thursday those numbers were at 43 and four.

OPH is also reporting one new death linked to COVID-19 in the city, bringing the overall death toll to 364.

The number of active cases in Ottawa is up slightly, to 412.

OPH says 31 local institutions are still dealing with COVID-19 outbreaks — seven of which have recorded deaths related to COVID-19. There are also four ongoing community outbreaks (three stemming from workplaces and one from a community organization).

There have been 8,104 lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ottawa since March, 7,328 of which have been resolved.
