At 2:01 a.m., OFS responded to a 911 call reporting a fire in front of a restaurant in a commercial plaza on Hazeldean Road, between Kincardine Drive and Roger Griffiths Avenue.

The fire was under control shortly after 2:30 a.m. and there were no injuries reported.

Fire damage was contained to a single unit in the plaza, however, surrounding businesses were damaged by smoke.

Meanwhile, the Ottawa Police Service (OPS) contacted OFS to report smoke coming from a restaurant in a commercial plaza on Terrance Matthews Crescent at 2:02 a.m., between Michael Cowpland Drive and Denzil Doyle Crescent.

That fire was also under control by around 2:30 a.m., the damage was contained to one unit, and there were no injuries reported.
