Para Transpo operator tests positive for COVID-19

A Para Transpo operator has tested positive for COVID-19.

According to city officials, their last day of work was Saturday and this person has been at home in self-isolation since. 

The key dates are the 48-hour period prior to the onset of symptoms, which are January 14, 15 and 16. The operator did not work on January 14. 

On Friday, the employee operated bus 5660 from 6:15 a.m. until 3:15 p.m. Then on Saturday, the employee operated bus 5618 between 5:15 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. 

Ottawa Public Health is following up with family, friends, and customers who may have been in close contact with the employee during this time.
