The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is charging a 57-year-old man with sexual assault after investigating incidents involving children, dating back to 1998 and 1985.

In August 2020, officers launched an investigation into an incident that happened in 1998, involving a young girl. It was as a result of that investigation, that a 1985 investigation was re-opened, involving another young girl and the same suspect.

Investigators found that both incidents happened at the man’s home, with children who were between four and 10 years old at the time.

David Antonio Wilson, of Ottawa, is facing the following charges:

  • Sexual assault (two counts)
  • Gross Indecency
  • Sexual Interference

He is currently in custody awaiting a court date.

OPS investigators are concerned there could be other victims linked to the accused.
